We have reached 50,000 petition signatures! Tony Hall, the Director General, has now confirmed that he is planning to close BBC Three in Autumn 2015. Rather than making savings like he originally intended he wants to reinvest £30m of BBC Three's budget into a BBC1+1 and drama! These seem very strange priorities given his original aim was to save money.
