Tonight at 11.59pm the BBC3 consultation closes. If you've not signed it go here - http://bit.ly/1QJlwlc. This is just to say thank you for doing so. 12,000 people have done so through our website and tonnes more have tweeted their views to the @BBCTrust, added comments to the petition, and filled out the 'official' survey - http://bit.ly/1PKYkCS. Our work shows there are better ways for the BBC Trust to engage with young adults, and what can be achieved if the BBC wasn’t hiding the consultation!
There's still a chance to have a say tonight! The greater the number of responses, the longer it will take for them to sift through it all, and make a decision on the future of the channel. So keep firing off your responses.
You can also fill out a prewritten email on the dismantling of BBC3 and the constant repeats every night of our favourite shows like Family Guy at http://www.savebbc3.com/familyguy. And you can fill out one about Orphan Black and shows getting shown late at night rather than in primetime at www.savebbc3.com/orphanblack.
In the coming months the BBC Trust will analyse the findings in conjunction with ICM and then will report back, and then we’ll find out if BBC3 will start moving online in January. The clock is ticking, so I suspect if it’s going to happen the BBC Trust will have to make a decision very quickly. Anything that takes longer will throw plans into doubt.
Follow @savebbcthree on Twitter for any updates – until then we’ll hold off sending you all these emails!
Thanks again for your support. We have put up a strong fight! The 18 month campaign is nearly over. If the BBC truly cares about young adults and viewers they will end this charade.
