There is a huge rise in the costs of vet fees for treatment and regular treatment for animals.  These include the most basic care for annual vaccinations flea and worming treatments and basic operations such as neutering spaying  and even micro chipping. 
This has caused a huge rise in many insurance policies for healthcare because of the unnecessary and disproportionate costs that vets are charging insurance companies this is now being passed on to consumers which is making it unaffordable to own animals for many people. 
it is extremely important for people that suffer mental health that have children that are lonely,  to have animals in their life this creates a loving atmosphere for pets and to enhance a prosperous lifestyle for people that suffer so badly. 

The rise in vaccinations locally to me have been 20% in the last year looking at nearly £60 just for the most basic vaccination for a dog it’s truly shocking.  I am also aware of vets charging insurance companies pounds and pounds for paracetamol Calpol for animals whilst in their care.  Many of these medications are half the price online and all marked up completely unnecessarily and disproportionate at vet practices and this appears now to be a national problem.  There needs to be a complete overhaul and regulation of pricing and many many services that vets provide should be capped
