SANKALPA is a non-profit registered voluntary organization based out in the Davangere district of Karnataka. Since 2007. SANKALPA has been working towards fostering inclusive educational opportunities for children with Intellectual Disability (ID). Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Multiple Disability adults. It has also been contributing to their Early Intervention and Early Education rehabilitation & development.

SANAKALPA promotes Inclusive Education, Health & Ecosystem, by enhancing the capacities and build, sensitization the capacity of NGOs, Government officials, caregivers, and other stakeholders SANKALPA have provided various community services for Children with Delay Development and other target group families from both rural and urban areas.  

SANAKALPA works with People with Disability (PwDs), Disabled People’s organization (DPOs), State and Central Government, and other NGOs.  It facilitates in connecting to Social Security Schemes of Government, medical facilities, Unique Disability Identity Cards (UDID). It also creates awareness/knowledge around Disability among parents and community. SANKALPA also arranges for Assistive Devices, when required.

 It also works closely with many organizations and networks in Davangere District and State for the access to and Rights of People with Disability as per the Disability Act 2016 and SANKALPA is also one of the RPD Act District level implementation committee members.

The organisation is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 as well as the Income Tax Act exemption under Sections 80G and 12AA, Sections 51 and 52 of Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and under NITI AAYOG. It is also part of the NGOs’ federation at the state and national level.
