Pour un vrai service animalier à La Pêche et pour un programme CSRM !!

Malheureusement à La Pêche, notre service animalier ne s'occupe que des chiens. Vous avez perdu votre chat, vous trouvez un chat? Aucune aide ne vous sera offerte, et on oublie encore les autres espèces d'animaux domestiques !! 

Il y a un problème de chats errants dans notre municipalité, et les citoyens sont prêts à se mobiliser pour aider, mais ça prend la collaboration de la municipalité et d'un VRAI service animalier.

Nous demandons donc à la municipalité de La Pêche de se pencher sur le problème de manière éthique. En mettant en place un programme CSRM. C’est connu : les chats se reproduisent à la vitesse grand V. Non stérilisée, une chatte peut mettre au monde quatre chatons trois fois par année. 

La méthode appelée « Capture-stérilisation-retour-maintien » (CSRM) constitue une façon efficace de réduire la surpopulation de chats de la rue. L’idée consiste à capturer, stériliser, vacciner et vermifuger au besoin des chats vivant en colonie à l’extérieur. Ces chats, de nature sauvage ou semi-sauvage, sont ensuite réintégrés dans leur milieu où leur nombre diminue graduellement grâce à l’interruption du cycle de reproduction.

Donc pour un service animalier qui s'occupe des ANIMAUX et pour un programme CSRM signez SVP et partagez dans la communauté !!

Unfortunately, the animal services provided in La Peche currently only benefit dogs. Should you lose or find a lost cat, there are no services offered for cats or any other domestic pets.

There is a growing feral cat problem in the municipality. Residents are ready to take action in finding an encompassing care program, but it requires the municipality to be on board. It's time to demand that the Municipality of La Peche take responsibility for the ethical treatment of all pets.

There must be a spay and neuter program developed to address the out-of-control reproductive cycle among cats. It's a known fact that one feral female cat has an average birthrate of up to four kittens three times per year.

The TNRM Program (Trap, Neuter, Release, and Maintain) is an effective method to curb the population of feral cats. It involves trapping and neutering cats living in outdoor colonies and, if necessary, getting them vaccinated and dewormed. These cats are then reintegrated into their environment, where the numbers gradually go down as a result of the reduced reproduction.

Therefore, to have a comprehensive animal control and TNRM program, please sign the petition and take action in your community.
