Bayside Council have silently banned residents - without a vote - to feed native wildlife and birds on their own property.

If they receive even one complaint, like I have, they are up for a $200 fine, or a summons to court where they could be fined $1000. As a disability pensioner with anxiety and depression, I take great comfort in feeding birds in my backyard. If I "disrupt" the comfort of any other person - even if they feel this way, without any evidence that I have "disrupted" anyone - it means I am in violation of this bylaw.

The council even wasted ratepayer money by spying on me, trying to catch me in the act.

We want a return to normalcy - please repeal this ridiculous bylaw.
