The complexities of a worldwide pandemic are still affecting everyone’s day-to-day lives. Now combine this with the intricate schedule of a college student adjusting to the new normal of hybrid learning. Stress and anxiety levels during a normal school year are unbelievably high. Add on the looming reality of a Covid-centered world, and those levels can become unbearable. Many sacrifices are made in both physical and mental health to achieve a GPA deemed sufficient for academic colleges, graduate schools, jobs, etcetera. Even though there are a few hybrid options this semester, a majority of learning is still done online. Online learning has proven time and time again to be increasingly more difficult for a majority of students and their learning styles. With all of these factors providing increased difficulty in our semester, us students need the support of our administration to provide for a fair chance at success. We ask for a pass/fail system for any semesters being taught in the midst of a pandemic. That extra support is what is necessary to continue to pursue the education we desire. Please consider our plea for an equitable education.
