Stop the construction of a $1.4 billion, 30 meter (18 storey) telescope on Mauna Kea on the island of Hawaii (Big Island). The mountain is sacred to many Native Hawaiians and is used for cultural practice and ceremonies,  building the Thirty Meter Telescope, which will be the world's largest telescope atop Maunakea would be "desecration."

The mountain is said to house ancestral bones and is the peak of the pacific, the closest man can get to the gods, it is vital to Hawaiian heritage. 

help us stop the destruction of indigenous land before its too late! Today several peaceful protesters have been arrested as preparations for construction begins, these elders do not deserve to be arrested for protecting their culture.
