So when news broke that the movie adaptation was cancelled… yeah, it hit hard.  Shell shocked.

This film had the potential to continue the TMNT movie legacy that started in the 1990s — not a reboot just for kids, not another soft reset, but a true evolution for the fans who literally grew up with these characters. A faithful Last Ronin movie could have bridged decades of fandom and delivered something raw, mature, and unforgettable.
