As I was lying in bed, I started to ponder on what things I wanted for Christmas when it occurred to me that I wanted a ferret.

My love for ferrets first started when I was at work, and my favourite manager, Tessa, was taking an order on drive-thru. The man started out by saying he had a mobile order code, and was told to pull ahead. When he got to the window, he was asked to pull to the number 1 “pulled” spot. I happened to run out his order when it was ready, and I noticed that there was a long skinny rat-looking thing on his lap. I pointed out how cute he was and the man asked me if I wanted to pet him, after being told that his name was Wilbur. I, of course, obliged and was very happy for the rest of the day.

A few days later, as I was scrolling through TikTok, I started seeing videos of ferrets dancing or just being ferrets. 

There have been a few times where I was thinking of Wilbur and he conveniently comes through the drive-thru, which makes my entire week.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of Wilbur. Please sign this petition to help convince my parents that I need a ferret for Christmas.
