The first major school shooting was in Columbine, Colorado. Two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, shot 12 students and 1 teacher. Why did the do it? They got bullied by other students. In 2007, Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people. Why? Again bullying. In 2012, T.J. Lane killed 3 people. WHY? Bullying. Every day 2 people die by suicide in Missouri. Suicide is the eleventh leading cause of death for adults and the third leading for kids. Missouri's rate of suicide is (12.9/100,000). Average 707 Missourians die by suicide annually. Isn't is sad? And you know why most of these people kill themselves? Bullying. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University. According to statistics reported by ABC News, nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying. And the sad new is that when it all said and done the people who did the bullying get no punishment. And what do the parents of the kid that killed themselves get? They have to put them in the ground! It's not right and I'm going to fight this issue. What I want is for any bully to get more punishment. They are the murderers we are letting away. Time to put more harsh punishment. TIME TO STAND UP FOR THE ONE WHO DON'T SPEAK UP! TIME TO END BULLYING! TIME FOR THE REAL BAD GUYS TO GET PUNISHMENT! TIME FOR A CHANGE!
