Citizens in San Bernardino County need accountability, currently there is no independent oversight of the sheriff's department.  The sheriff's department has ignored demands from the board of supervisors about use of tasers and body cams, recommendations by the grand jury are ignored, and even repeated newspaper editorials criticizing the appointment of the sheriff since 2009, are ignored.    

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department obtained very high-tech spy equipment in 2013 from the federal government, including the stingray device that was used to capture Osama Bin Laden. 

A device that pretends to be a cell phone tower and captures all cell phone data and communications within range.  The sheriff's department has used this device more than any other county in the state. 

When this device is brought into your neighborhood, your cell phone communications could be in range of the device.  People are being spied on, having their cell phone data taken by their sheriff's department without their knowledge:

Sheriff Dicus was involved with the “Jail Utilization Study” done in partnership with CalForward to determine the effects of prison realignment and recidivism and oversaw the legislative liason for the corrections bureau.  So, Dicus is aware of the problems occurring at the jails in the county.  

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is known for questionable shootings, using excessive force, threatening citizens if they wish to file a complaint, among other wrongdoings:

We have not had a free and fair election of the San Bernardino County Sheriff since 2009, because the sheriff has been appointed by the board of supervisors, Sheriff Hoops, Sheriff McMahon and Sheriff Dicus, were all appointed.

We, the citizens of San Bernardino County, have the power to change this.  The hard-working blue collar workers outnumber the corrupt in our county. 

It is time for a change with the San Bernardino County Sheriff.  There is another choice on the ballot.
