Today the Timarron HOA guidelines do not allow for exterior painting of brick and stone of homes. It does allow for painting of Stucco homes. This petition is to implore the Timarron HOA Board and Neighbor delegates to permit the exterior painting of homes regardless of material for the following reasons.

1)Homes are becoming 20+ years old and require maintenance. Painting will allow for up-keep and repairs (such as cracking from foundation shifts)

2)Many of the Timarron home's bricks are no longer in production which limits what and how we can repair our own homes

3)Design styles have changed in the last 20 years. As many residents remodel their interiors, allowing for exterior updating must be allowed to keep up home values. This should include color pallets.

4) It is unfair to allow for Stucco homeowners to update color pallets of homes while brick homeowners are no afforded this same opportunity

5)Finally as a reminder to our HOA - our homes are one of our biggest investments. Regardless if you are an original homeowner or new to the neighborhood, home values are important. Limiting our ability to keep up with the exterior of our homes will limit their value as other new and mature neighborhoods in Southlake have more owner freedoms.
