Wanted to start a petition on behalf of all Tim Horton’s employees regarding the uniform policy. We are one of the few workplaces that still have full top to bottom uniform. Which includes ( Hat, Hairnet, Golf shirt, Pants, Belt, Non-Slip shoes and name tag) Although it looks professional at a customers first look. It’s uncomfortable, it’s unbreathable, doesn’t fit right most of the time, easily rips, not to mention expensive to replace. I know a hand full of employees that get rashes from the clothing. I understand that Tim Hortons has always had a full uniform. But I strongly believe in change! I would like the uniform to be like other coffee shops, there competition. Black shirt of choice, black pants of choice, Tim Hortons logo apron, non-slip shoes, hair net and name tag. Keep it simple but classy. Give us a choice to wear breathable clothing. We understand it’s about safety reasons but give us a guideline of wearing pants not shorts or capris. Work with us. We need to breathe.
