As a taxpayer and licence fee payer I believe that the BBC must be accountable to the British people and become a beacon for the highest employment standards in public life.

At the start of 2018, it was revealed that the BBC is facing around 200 equal pay complaints and it was revealed that women aren’t paid equally to men for doing the same job.

We love the BBC and are deeply disappointed by the revelations which is why we’re calling for it to:

• Set in place an equal, fair and transparent pay structure.
• Immediately agree to independent arbitration to settle individual equal pay complaints
