Dear Carrie You are a great example to everyone who is suffering from inequality in the workplace. Congratulations on achieving such a substantial settlement from the BBC. I and many of our petitioners are delighted that you have won your case and by doing so provided substantive evidence that there was indeed discrimination going on at the BBC at the highest level. Obviously we do not know the detail of where the organisation has got to in terms of reform but we hope this is a sign of significant progress. Your leadership will mean that the door will be opened for others to follow, not only within the BBC. Reading of you toasting 'all mothers' yesterday we can all join you in that spirit of celebration. We are, from our comments published, a varied and caring group of people of all ages, sexes and persuasions, with and without families, and from many places across the UK and beyond. Well done, again, on behalf of the viewers who care about equality; we are really impressed and look forward to hearing more from the Fawcett Society about their important work supporting women in the future.
