The BBC commissioned a report, released today, which shows that there is a gender pay gap amongst all their on-air staff, but deny gender bias. One of our objectives, which is establishing a transparent new pay framework has been accepted in principle. However we need to make sure it's put in place. The big issue which remains is that of consultation (little so far, women feel excluded ) or fully independent arbitration or assessment for or by the women themselves or their representatives.
