There is a portion of Tilton Avenue in Morgan Hill, CA. that students of Central Hight School and Ann Sobrato High School walk and bike along this road twice a day to get to school. For the majority of the road, there are sidewalks where houses are, however its when the road reaches a small bridge where students are forced to walk on the two foot wide emergency lane with 25 to 35 MPH vehicles from cars to eight-wheeler trucks.

 As a student who has walked to school along this road for almost four years, it is this portion of our walk that is the most dangerous and strays me from walking to school in general. There are around ten to fifteen of us always at risk of being hit by a vehicles and on multiple occasions that was almost the case. 

By supporting the installment of this new sidewalk, students and pedestrians walking or riding to and from school will have a safer route without the risk of being struck by moving traffic. Furthermore in preventing any accidents that end in fatality or injury to pedestrians, drivers and their passengers.
