There is a group of creators that refer to themselves as the Nurse Mafia on TikTok. They have repeatedly perpetuated disinformation about mental illness, COVID-19, and healthcare compliance. There are hundreds of comments from them towards patients in hospitals and people in a mental health crisis. They repeatedly misrepresent their scope of practice and level of licensure. TikTok allows them to grow and monetize more. This is financial exploitation of people with mental illness. Remove all members of the Nurse Mafia from TikTok for the safety of people who they continue to threaten and harass.  

TikTok should start a verification process for healthcare creators where you have to let TikTok verify your license before you can present yourself as a practitioner. 

TikTok should also help account holders who the Nurse Mafia targeted to report to their licensing board by requiring a feature that connects that healthcare creators profile to their licensing board. This transparency and accountability should be a requirement before you brand your TikTok account as healthcare.
