That Vegan Teacher, Miss Kadie, has been wrongfully removed from TikTok. Kadie stands for the justice and rights of all groups. She has vocalized her support for the BIPOC, Disabled, LGBTQ, and other marginalized communities. That Vegan Teacher rose to 1.7 million followers by educating people on what happens to animals via human consumption. As an animal liberation activist, she has been an unfair target of repeated harassment: doxing of her address and phone, animal flesh being thrown at her house, people trying to kidnap her dog, defamatory statements about her, and unjustified mass reporting. TikTok does not use humans to moderate or review content, only algorithms, which caused her account to be banned.

Censorship is wrong, and the majority should not have control over the dissenting few. This will set a precedent that those who hold the most power can suppress others. A revolution for a better world will never begin when those who push the envelope are silenced. Miss Kadie works tirelessly to expose the truths of animal exploitation, so even if one disagrees, they should be able to see why censorship is not good. If the majority can erase someone from social media for defending animals, they can erase anyone for anything. This should worry people who are not vegan as well. There are many social justice movements that are in opposition to big money. Having this new precedent will allow these corporations to suppress anyone in opposition. If we the people ever want to start a revolution, we need our freedom of speech. We cannot allow ourselves to be silenced.

This is about That Vegan Teacher, the incredible work she has done for the animals, and the millions of people she has reached and inspired, that would have never been reached otherwise. But this is also about all the other activists out there, the ones who fear being silenced. If we can get Miss Kadie, That Vegan Teacher, back on TikTok, it will set a brand new precedent. One that proves when activists are silenced it won't be for long, they will come back, and the effort these suppressors have put in will have all been for nothing. They will learn from this and know that no matter how much they report content for simply disagreeing, it won't make it go away. The Truth will always come to light.
