Tie up emergency animal vets with government hospital in North Campus, Delhi

Tie up emergency animal vets with government hospital in North Campus, Delhi
The Issue
As a law student with a deep commitment to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves, I aim to fight for the rights of animals. The urgent need for accessible emergency veterinary care in North Campus, Delhi, has compelled me to take action to ensure that animals receive the immediate and professional care they deserve.
Currently, the lack of available emergency veterinary services means that countless animals suffer unnecessarily, often unable to receive timely medical intervention. This petition calls for action to be taken by the government to collaborate with existing animal welfare organizations to establish a reliable network of emergency animal veterinarians at the government hospital in North Campus.
In well-developed areas across the globe, governments have collaborated with NGOs to provide adequate emergency veterinary services, and there is no reason it cannot be achieved here in Delhi. A structured partnership can ease the burdens on individual veterinarians and ensure that animals receive the care they need. Implementing these tie-ups would offer a sustainable solution to the growing crisis of animal welfare in the area.
According to the World Health Organisation, 59,000 people die from rabies each year, and a significant number of these cases result from delayed treatment of animal bite victims due to unavailability of timely veterinary care. A functional emergency vet service tied up with the local government hospital would not only prevent animal suffering but also reduce the risk of zoonotic diseases among humans.
We call on local authorities to initiate a dialogue with animal welfare NGOs and veterinary experts to create a seamless framework for emergency veterinary services. Together, we can ensure North Campus, Delhi, becomes a model for accessible and effective animal healthcare.
Please sign this petition to urge the government and medical institutions to take prompt action. Your support can lead to a compassionate and functional system that defends the rights of animals and safeguards public health. Let's be a voice for the voiceless and stand together for the welfare of animals in North Campus, Delhi.
