I've been a dedicated live music fan for well over 3 decades.  If you are reading this petition, you most likely share my passion.  Unfortunately, you may also share in having experienced the demise of the ticketing industry. 

To be clear, the industry is alive and well. In fact, it is a booming industry, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in profits for companies like LiveNation/Ticketmaster, AEG/AXS and StubHub.

However, these profits are being generated at the literal and figurative expense of us, the dedicated music fans, the very consumers who fund their executives annual bonuses.

Companies like Ticketmaster and AXS, despite already having been subjected to a massive class action suit in the not too distant past, continue to deliberately prey on the most loyal of concert attending fans through their highly monopolistic resale and price gouging tactics.

Furthermore, their online technologies, which are the only ways for fans to secure tickets, are deceptively designed to lead buyers into accidental re-sale market purchases, running simultaneously to the face value sales, thereby artificially driving prices and demand even higher.

Despite all of the above, when the consumer finally does have tickets in her cart, the purchase work flows of the sites are notoriously riddled with software/system defects, which more times than not, ultimately result not only in the customer's shopping cart being emptied but also forcing the customer back to the beginning of the ticketing queue, virtually always resulting in them not getting tickets.

These companies need to be held accountable to providing a service which allows their most loyal customers to purchase face value tickets to their events.

The current ticketing system is broken and we the fans are the ones who suffer from it. 

By signing this petition, you acknowledge that you have personally been impacted by the deceptive and monopolistic practices of either Ticketmaster or AXS Ticketing. 

You further acknowledge that you would support a class action lawsuit against these companies, intended to bring about ticketing reform and regulation of these companies, particularly but not limited to the ways in which they utilize and partner with resale platforms, including those they host and/or outright own.

Signing this petition does not forfeit your rights as a consumer or require you to be involved in any future actions, including class action, directed at the aforementioned or any other ticketing companies.
