According to the CBC article link below, Minister of Education David Eggen has now confirmed that withdrawing funds from Pastor Brian Coldwell's independent Christian schools is an option if the government does not receive written assurance from the schools prior to September 16th that GSAs will be allowed in their schools, as required under the School Act. The bottom line in all of these situations is that many taxpayers choose to send their children to faith-based schools because those schools best reflect their values. When policies and legislation are imposed on these schools that are hostile to the foundation of the school culture, it means that authentic educational choice no longer exists.
