No justice for 16 years since pregnant Noongar woman, Stacey Thorne, was murdered.

The Issue

Our beloved family member, Stacey Thorne, a teacher’s aide at the local school was horrifically stabbed 21 times in her home and was left to die. She was 22 weeks pregnant.

The police arrested the man she was in a relationship with, and who was the father of her unborn baby. After 12 years in prison, he was acquitted, due to alleged evidence of police corruption, leaving the case unsolved.

The WA Police Commissioner has said he WILL NOT reopen the investigation.

Our family is devastated and grieving, we cannot rest as justice has not been served, we need answers so Stacey can Rest in Peace.

Please join our family in calling out the WA government and Police to reopen the investigation into Stacey Thorne and baby murder.

The Police and Justice system has failed our family and community with no justice or closure. Therefore, we hired a private investigator, Robyn Cottman, to review the evidence. Robyn believes new evidence can be found with further testing and re-examination of items and swabs still in police custody, reopening the case is the only way to find the killer.

It has been a long and painful ordeal for our family, when the person who was convicted and jailed for 25 years of her and baby murder, we thought it was over. Then in 2020, the Criminal Court of appeal ordered a retrial, another painful process, we are living in a nightmare.

The defence team argued that he had been framed by the WA police. There is a murderer living amongst us in our community freely, the WA police must reopen the case to find the murderer.

Help us put pressure on WA Police to do the right thing, for our beloved Stacey Thorne and her unborn baby.

It's been 16 years. Help us get justice now!
