The Douglas County School District has made the decision to cut down on lunch time by 7 minutes and add an irrelevant extra minute to each class period. An extra minute to each class period will not do anything in the long run for DCSD students and the 7 minutes cut off of their lunch time poses many safety hazards for both the school and students due to students having to rush back to their classrooms as fast as they can. Also, this decrease in lunch time available has led to an increase of tardies and absences as the students who go off campus during lunch can not get back in time and often have to eat their lunches in the class that they are supposed to be in. Please help our DCSD students have a semblance of happiness at their school, and help them get their lunch times back !
