The Los Angeles Taxi system is broken. Cabs in LA are expensive and often late, cab drivers are rude and drive erratically endangering pedestrians, other drivers and passengers alike, and payment options are limited as most cab drivers refuse to accept credit cards.

Alternatives to traditional Taxi service in Los Angeles such as Uber, Lyft, and Sidecar offer residences a transportation solution that is much more convenient, safer, more pleasant, and often times cheaper than traditional cab service in Los Angeles.

Services such as those listed above provide much needed competition for a business sector that due to a lack of it, has up until recently ignored service and pricing concerns from their customers.

Recently the City of Los Angeles sent cease-and-desist letters to Uber, Lyft and Sidecar, warning the companies and their drivers that operating an automobile-for-hire without a permit will not be tolerated.

Citizens of Los Angeles will not standby while an effective transportation solution is pushed out due to political pressure from Taxi companies.
