This is not the America we were promised.

In June 2025, the United States government deployed over 700 active-duty U.S. Marines to California to support immigration enforcement actions—without the request or consent of state officials.

This is not only unprecedented, it’s dangerous.

Our founding principles—liberty, justice, and the separation of military power from domestic governance—are being eroded before our eyes. Children are being torn from their mothers’ arms. Immigrant families are being dehumanized and detained. Peaceful protests are being met with force. This is not about security. This is about fear, control, and the silencing of human dignity.

We call on:

Congress to open immediate investigations into the federal deployment of military personnel within U.S. borders.

The Department of Defense to cease all unauthorized domestic deployments of active-duty troops.

Governors and state officials to assert their constitutional rights and refuse cooperation with militarized immigration raids.

All Americans to reject the normalization of military power used against vulnerable populations.

We are a nation of immigrants. We are a country founded in resistance to tyranny. We believe in due process, in human rights, and in the promise of freedom for all.

This moment in history demands our voice.
