This Almost Passed. Protect Georgia Voters Now.
The Issue
SB 568 fell just two votes short in the Georgia Senate. That means this issue is not over.
Senate Bill 568 (SB 568) is moving through the Georgia legislature, and it threatens to change how voting works in our state. PowerWatch Georgia Action strongly opposes this bill.
SB 568 would eliminate the ability for voters in many counties to vote at any polling location within their county. Instead, voters would be restricted to one assigned polling place. This could create longer lines, more confusion, and fewer opportunities for Georgians to cast their ballots.
Voting is the foundation of our democracy. Laws that affect how Georgians vote must protect access to the ballot box — not weaken it.
We are calling on Georgia lawmakers to stop SB 568 and protect fair, accessible elections for every Georgian.
If you believe voting should remain simple, fair, and accessible in Georgia, add your name to this petition.
