People in Manchester and London have died in recent terror attacks.

It has been revealed that Prime Minister Theresa May - in her previous role as home secretary - presided over cuts in police numbers and in the intelligence service that have made the UK more vulnerable to terrorism.

Mrs May was warned - years ago - that her cuts would make the UK vulnerable. She described those warnings as "scaremongering".

Now people are dead, and many more injured, because she did not listen.

The first duty of a UK government is to protect its citizens. Mrs May has not only failed in that duty - she has ignored it.

She must resign immediately.
