Punishment for malicious social media posts resulting in loss of a life

Punishment for malicious social media posts resulting in loss of a life
The Issue
Back in March 12th 2018 a vindictive slanderous and malicious facebook post had been posted. This post was commented on over 500 times and shared over 200 times. This resulted in a young father taking his life. The coroners report stated the cause of this young fathers death was indeed related to this facebook posted and feeling the only escape for him was to end his life.
There had been no previous attempts to end his life, and the moments building up to the facebook post being made public (also containing photographs of the young father and mentioning him by full name) he had been pictured smiling and sending messages and making calls planning his future and feeling excited for thise plans to materialise.
No charge was ever made to the disgrunteled ex partner who posted that fateful message for all to see.
I am fighting for a change in the law whicb will see those that post spread and share such messages on social media accounts are held accountable for the life changing events they can cause.
