Hi I sent copy of petition etc to my local mo who then sent to the wrong department in my eyes department of education. Really public transport is not education.
Here is what they respond with what's your thoughts
Dear Ms Alder
I am writing on behalf of the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Children and Families) to thank you for your email of 9 October regarding your petition about special needs buggies on public transport.
I am sure you can appreciate that the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Children and Families) receives a large amount of correspondence and is unable to reply to each one personally. It is for this reason I have been asked to reply.
Ministers are always interested in receiving information aimed at improving services for children and young people. However, ministers and government officials must remain impartial and so cannot support or endorse specific petitions.
As a government minister, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Children and Families) receives a large number of requests for meetings. Unfortunately, she is not able to meet everyone as her time is heavily pressured and her diary needs to be prioritised according to ministerial, Parliamentary and constituency business.
It may be worth highlighting that the criteria and guidelines for seating arrangements on public transport are set by individual transport companies, therefore you may wish to take this matter up directly with the travel companies concerned.
Thank you for taking the time to write.
