Help get equal pension rights for firefighters

My name is Barrie. I joined the fire service as a full-time firefighter when I was 19. My contract stated I would work 30 years and then be eligible for my pension as long as I was 50. But now the government have made reforms meaning I have to work a further 10 years, until I'm 60, to claim my pension.
That’s why I’m calling on Theresa May to withdraw these reforms
The reform stated you had to be 45 years of age on 1st April 2012 to benefit from the existing pension scheme, I was only 42 years old. I have paid 11% or more of my wages towards my pension since I joined the Service, which is higher than many other pension schemes.
I find this to be discriminatory against my age as my colleagues, who I joined with in 1989, can retire before me after completing 30 dedicated years, as they were 45 years of age on 1st April 2012 and I was not.
This will affect my life, family and health. It may affect public service and safety as we enter into a new era of firefighters aged over 50, a place where we have never been before.
Firefighters deserve the pensions that they signed up for and paid for. Being in this role can be a great cost to their families and life over their 30 years of dedication.
Earlier this year, judges took the government to court over age discrimination in pension reform and won. In parallel to that case, our case lost. We continue to ask Theresa May to withdraw these reforms and to consider our case again.
