No one waking up to the news and horrific scenes at Grenfell tower this morning can feel anything but heartbreak for all those affected.

Already there are numerous reports that residents had frequently voiced their concerns regarding the safety of their building.While it is too early to fully understand the causes it is recorded fact that the government chose not to act on recommendations regarding fire safety in tower blocks.

As the Housing Minister responsible at the time former MP Gavin Barwell should resign immediately from his position as Chief of Staff to Theresa May.

Serious questions must also be asked as to the role Local Authority cuts and cuts to Fire Services may have played in this tragic incident.
