The former Labour communications chief Alastair Campbell believes that the British people deserve a Final Say on the Brexit deal that Theresa May is today negotiating with EU leaders in Salzburg.
He’s backing our call for a vote on the terms of the agreement – and from 5pm today you can ask him why.
Tony Blair’s former adviser will take part in a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ hosted by The Independent, giving you the chance to find out more about the Brexit negotiations and why a new referendum is needed.
Even the government has today conceded that a Final Say vote may be inevitable if parliament votes down the prime minister’s Brexit deal. Treasury minister Mel Stride said: “We could have a second referendum and we could end up not leaving the EU altogether.”
More than 812,000 people have now signed our petition backing a Final Say vote. If you haven’t already done so, please pass the petition on to your friends, colleagues and social media network.
And join Alastair Campbell today, or post your questions in advance from 3pm, and check The Independent tomorrow for the best insights from his live discussion with you.
