There is NO felony laws in Mississippi for animal cruelty - 30 dogs found dead **VIDEO**

The Issue

30 dogs and 6 cats were found dead in Prentiss County Mississippi, on February 2, 2011.  Some of the dead animals were beaten, bit, had snapped necks some shot, some hung, some beaten,  and their heads smashed.  The link to the video below gives the whole story of this horrific acts of violence and death to these poor defenseless animals.  What is even more disturbing, is Mississippi has some of the weakest animal cruelty laws in the nation.

We are hoping by signing this petition, which is directed to the State Senate to finally make some changes to the law.  Mississippi along with 4 other states are without a felony charge for animal cruelty.  The Prentiss County Sheriff's Department are looking for the ones who killed these animals, but if found they will only get 6 months and a $1,000.00 dollar fine.  This is NOT acceptable.  Mississippi need a new animal cruelty law that would make it a felony.  We are here to help make that happen.

Please sign the petition, and be the voices for the one's who can not speak for themselves.

Thank you
