DNC Debate on The Young Turks

This petition had 144,068 supporters

This petition is to request the DNC to allow The Young Turks to host a debate between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Having a media outlet NOT INFLUENCED by Corporate Money would be a refreshing change. Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, Jimmy Dore, Jordan Chariton and John Iadarola can go toe to toe with ANY MSM Journalist.

With its political and social news coverage, The Young Turks channel racks up roughly 37 million monthly views, according to OpenSlate data. But The Young Turks has expanded into an entire digital network, with 35 channels spanning sports, technology, film, college life and dozens of other areas. Together, the network attracts over 75 million monthly views from more than 3 million subscribers. -Eric Blattberg (

A debate with the Young Turks would allow Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders to contrast their Policy Positions in front of TYT's massive online audience, composed mostly of people under the age of 35. We want to see a debate where Sanders and Clinton can be properly questioned about policy with appropriate followups. It would be a great opportunity to discuss issues that are important for the DNC and the whole nation with the Most Popular YouTube News Outlet. This debate would transcend American politics to the realm of new internet media and would be a model that future online debates can follow.

There is not much time left in the election process so let's try to make this happen!

Thank You!

Update: Thank you to Cenk Uygur who has OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED the request for a debate on behalf of The Young Turks (Watch the Confirmation here:
