While we've made progress with the applicants of the aquaculture farm due to the withdrawal of the tumble bag component of the proposal - a new request has been submitted that proposes on bottom flip bags of oysters, up to 5 acres of clams covered with predator netting and up to 20 acres of oysters with 2 acres covered in predator netting. There is documented evidence of this type of farming practice that shows Eagles (among other marine life) becoming trapped and entangled in these structures. We urge you to reconsider the environmental impact this project has and deny the use of this land for this purpose.
