Update: Barb Knapp, the Erie County Dog Warden, uses the gas chamber that has been banned across the nation. Erie County, Ohio is the only county in Ohio left using this process to euthanize animals.
This comes as no surprise after some recent situations with her refusing to remove pets from neglectful owners. The gas chamber is a cruel way to euthanize animals. Some take up to 40 minutes to die. Some urinate and defacate, struggle for air and convulse before they finally lose consciousness.

Please help us by signing and sharing this petition to support putting an end to the inhumane processes of Erie County Dog Pound and force them to destroy the last gas chamber in Ohio. 

Another Concern of Erie County Animal Advocates: Diesel lives in an empty warehouse with no windows and has been confined to a cage for the last few years. He has been living in his own feces. The warden allowed his owner to keep him.  

Please help us by signing this petition in support of our Chief of Police removing him and placing him into a home. There are many community members willing to provide him w a home. 
Animal Rights has become a social movement. Without help from the community, some animals remain victims to neglect and cruelty. Our city lacks a humane agent committed to treating animals humanely at any stage or circumstance in their life. Therefore, justice for them has been placed in the hands of the community.
