Scarlett Johansson, ScarJo, has recently announced she'll be taking a role of a Transgender man in a film directed by Rupert Sanders (Ghost in the Shell) called "Rub & Tug" focusing on a Pittsburgh 1970s 1980s massage parlor and prostitution business ran by a Transgender Man - Dante 'Tex' Gill.  This type of casting is highly problematic because by casting Cisgender Actors into transgender roles, and then to have them accepting Oscars in their Cis Appearances for said roles, it only reinforces the stereotype that Transgender People are only pretending to be what they are.  Jared Leto accepting the Oscar in full beard and suit for his Role in "Dallas Buyers Club" as a transwoman only led to the misconception that Transwomen aren't women, they're men.  This is wrong, because when men find themselves attracted to trans women they have anxiety about that because of their own internalized homophobia and transphobia and they’ve gotten this message that trans women are really men and then this leads to violence and even DEATH.  This can also be said about violence and misunderstanding when it comes to Transmen!  Look at the life and murder of Brandon Teena, another Transgender Man who's story wasn't told by a transgender person ... but Cis/Het washed and portrayed by Hillary Swank in 1999!  

More disturbing is the nonchalant response Scar Jo has given in response to outcry of accepting her "Rub & Tug" role - "Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman’s reps for comment."  Even Jeffrey Tambor himself has said about his Emmy Award winning role portraying a transwoman - "Please give transgender talent a chance.  Give them auditions. Give them their story. I would not be unhappy were I the last cisgender male to play a female transgender on television."  Clearly, ScarJo has no concern for the trans community and the many concerns about a cis actor portraying a trans character.  Scarlette seems only more concerned with all the media attention she can get for taking on the part, how many Oscars she can win and how much money she can make off the backs of a marginalized community while putting them at severe RISK.

As a result, not only do I proposed that we protest any film or productions that Scarlett Johansson and Rupert Sanders are involved in but also a total boycott of Disney and Marvel related films and merchandise since ScarJo portrays Black Widow in their very successful series of Marvel films- at least until Scarlett Johansson drops this role and Rupert Sanders' projects altogether OR Disney/Marvel drops Scarlett as the Black Widow (either by killing the character off or recasting altogether).  This protest, boycott and petition needs a lot of media attention as well - as to put pressure on the Actress and Studios involved.  If Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry cares about the LGBTQIA community, it's time they showed it.  Thank you.
