Save Walt Disney's Jungle Cruise

The Issue

The changing of the beloved ride "Jungle Cruise is ridiculous. The ride has been operating in Disney land for more than half a century and there have been no issues until now. Personally I have ridden this ride multiple times and have never experienced anything but enjoyment at seeing the natives in their home defending it against those intrusive explorers. I never ever thought that it was a negative depiction of natives. It is true that cannibalism and head hunting have been a thing among native peoples of the world in the past. What I am most appalled by is that Disney is caving to people who are so far removed from that native life that they cannot have been individually affected in a way that it would hurt them by improper representation of said natives in the attraction. I would venture to say that no one has ever thought about the cultural effect of the ride, after they have left the corny jokes behind, besides a small group. Disney is losing my support as a company and a family insitution since they began to cave to small groups of peoples feelings with splash mountain. The majority of people dont know that the inspiration for the ride came from "song of the south" instead what they relate to the ride with is the memories they have made with there family and that is why they ride it again and again so they can relive those memories. By changing these beloved classics Disney is not only folding to the will of those who would see history rewritten or done away with cause its distasteful but they are keeping families form being able to relive the memories they have made together. I would venture to say that the money hungry company that is in existence today would cause Walt to roll over in his grave. Lets save "jungle cruise" and let Disney know we like things they way they are in the parks.
