Recently, Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek's plans to replace the classic "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" ride (at Disney's California Adventure) were leaked. 

The ride opened on May 5, 2004; making it only about 12 years old. 

The ride is to be replaced with a "Guardians of the Galaxy" themed attraction, as part of the aggressive expansion of Marvel's presence in the parks. 

To many, this feels very "un-Disney-like" in it's disregard for the popularity of the attraction. 

To this day, the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" remains one of the most popular attractions in the DCA park. In many ways, it is akin to the "Sleeping Beauty Castle" in the Disneyland park or the "Haunted Mansion." 

To take away the "haunted house" element would be a loss of genre balance to the whole park.

Why replace a beloved attraction with something that is bound to be short lived? Why replace a truly inspired and original idea with a marketing ploy? 

Frankly, this sounds more like something that Universal Studios Hollywood would do. Not Disneyland. 

If you feel these actions are un-called for and absurd, please sign this petition with the hopes of getting it seen by the powers that be.

We must keep the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" alive and stop Disney from destroying a young, popular and iconic attraction.

This isn't like you, Disney. Listen to your guests.

Put the "Guardians" somewhere else.
