Disney has been making major changes to Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Hollywood Studios. This is likely due to the recent success of the new Star Wars movie. Disney has been removing a lot of old attractions, even the latest ICON of the park, the Sorcerer's Hat, to make room for their expansion of the Star Wars' themed area. Hollywood Studios is being overtaken by Star Wars and while Star Wars is a great franchise, nearly half the park is going to be dedicated to this new area and recently Disney announced they would be closing the ORIGINAL ICON of the Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Earffel Tower. This tower has been with the park since its opening and now that the Sorcerer's Hat has been removed, it is likely the most associated item with the theme park. This petition is an attempt to motivate Disney to spare the Earffel Tower and at the very least, expand around the tower. Disney's Hollywood Studios was intended to be themed about "the golden age of Hollywood" and the Earffel Tower was a similar structure to the water tower at Disney Studios in Burbank, California which makes it a nice fit. With the closure of The Art of Animation, we ask Disney to please spare the remaining structure of what the park stood for, the Earffel Tower OR at the very least, relocate the Earffel Tower to the front of the park.
