When Disneyland and Disney California Adventure closed for over 400 days, the beloved Disneyland ducks left and geese moved in. Now that the resort has opened again, the ducks have returned. However, they are being attacked by the territorial geese. We watched a momma duck and her eight ducklings be attacked by two aggressive geese. The geese fought with the momma duck, grabbed one of her babies, and drowned it. 

Disneyland and California Adventure are a magical place, but it is not magical to watch aggressive geese attack a family of ducks. It is not magical to watch an adorable duckling drown. 

Human children are at risk too. The geese wander the walkways of the park — particularly Paradise Pier in California Adventure and New Orleans Square at Disneyland. While navigating the crowds, one must also watch out for geese. They can and will attack people and children if nothing is done about them. 

We are asking The Walt Disney Company, Bob Chapek and Ken Potrock to humanely catch and remove the aggressive geese from Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure. The ducks inhabited these parks long before the geese arrived. The ducks and their babies are a part of the Disney magic, and the geese are threatening them. By threatening the ducks, the geese are threatening Disney magic itself. The Walt Disney Company needs to find a way to protect the baby ducks and momma ducks of the parks, as well as human children, from these aggressive animals.
