The steam engines of the Walt Disney World Railroad at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida are an important part of Disney history, as well as a valuable asset to Walt Disney World.

Several reports suggest that management is looking to replace these steam engines with steam-outline diesel engines, or in other words, engines that look like steam engines but are actually diesel powered. While some might not notice the difference, this would be a tragic end to the tradition of steam-powered locomotives at Walt Disney World that has been in place for over 40 years.
