Back in 2017, Marvel, ABC, and IMAX collaborated to make the most influential, groundbreaking series of our time with Inhumans. Unfortunately, big DC tried to suppress press about the series in an effort to make it fail, and keep the public's focus on their "arrowverse" soap opera shows. This resulted in an unfair smear campaign that included many demeaning remarks about the production design, costumes, and the overall quality of the show months before the show's premiere. This smear campaign continued when the first episodes where shown at Comic-Con. With all the bad publicity surrounding the show, the series' one week run in IMAX cinemas was a massive bomb, as audiences were not confident enough in the quality to pay for the IMAX experience. Then, several weeks later when this seminal series was shown on ABC, it suffered from low viewing numbers, despite it's excellence.

Due to all this, Inhumans was not renewed for a second season; which is frankly inhumane. There is no other show like Inhumans. David Lynch wishes Twin Peaks could have been this good. Benioff and Weiss gave up on making Game of Thrones good after viewing this series and realising Scott Buck had perfected the royal drama. If Inhumans had a second season on Disney+, we could finally see the true peak of the golden age of television.
