Restore "The Love is Gone" to a 2017 anniversary edition of The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Restore "The Love is Gone" to a 2017 anniversary edition of The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Why this petition matters

If you grew up watching The Muppet Christmas Carol on VHS, you will remember the heart-wrenching scene where Scrooge watches his old love, Belle, sing "The Love is Gone" explaining why she has to leave him. It is a pivotal moment both in Scrooge's life, and in his realisation of all he has sacrificed in the name of greed and bitterness. I KNOW I CRIED.
The travesty is that Disney has cut this song from both the latest DVD and streaming versions of the film. This removes the emotional climax of the movie, and also makes a nonsense of the last song of the film "The Love We Found", which uses the same tune but different words to show Scrooge's transformation.
Disney, do you see how the last song doesn't make any sense any more?
Apparently Jeffrey Katzenberg, a big-wig at Disney Studios, made the decision to cut the scene because he thought that kids wouldn't find it interesting. Let's prove him wrong, and ask Disney Studios to please restore the scene to the film -- and at the same time, restore the heart and the sense to a classic Muppet caper!
