Given the recent death of Carrie Fisher, the character of Princess Leia has also met an untimely demise and as Disney now own the rights to the Star Wars franchise - we ask that Leia be given status amongst other Princesses inhabiting the Disney parks world wide...

Leia was a strong and capable leader, giving hope and fire to the stories she was engaged in. A true role model for all females for nearly 40 years, defining the protective instincts and death defying strength of women for a whole generation. She withstood torture, slavery and the genocide of her people to lead a rebellion against a cruel dictator. She, above all princesses, faced overwhelming odds to help bring peace to an entire galaxy and stayed true to the fundamentals of The Force.

I submit for recognition by Disney, that her love of life, freedom of spirit and desire to live in peace are all assets of the Disney matriarchal ideal. Your adoption of the Star Wars franchise is surely an endorsement of these values that exist within its great story and moral.

Deign Carrie Fisher with the honour of making her most recognised role an even greater force for power in this galaxy... Grant her the title (by proxy) of Disney Princess, a guardian of girls childhood and role model towards womanhood.
