There is a loyal fan base for the Tron franchise. Tron: Legacy was unfortunately overshadowed by other movies such as Alice in Wonderland. However, if done right, another Tron movie could be huge.

The visual effects in Tron: Legacy were way ahead of their time and still hold up as stunning and visually appealing. The production design was beautiful, the acting was really good, and the story was so symmetrical and satisfyingly strong all while playing with our emotions and without being predictable.

Tron is something close to many peoples hearts and if done right, a third movie could be a major box office success. We know that Disney doesn’t intend to give up on Tron given the fact that a lot of money was spent to build a Tron ride in Disneyland Shanghai. (And not to mention the Tron ride coming to Disney World soon.)

So Disney, I say this to you as a loyal fan of Tron: now is the time to make a third movie. There is so much potential for this franchise. There are so many unexplored and unexplained perspectives and stories in the Tron universe that deserve to be enjoyed by Tron fans, old and new.
