After the recent underperformance of Solo: A Star Wars Story, rumors have spread that Disney is stopping production of all anthology films. The Boba Fett movie is of little consequence, but a movie with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi is a much anticipated film. Solo underperformed due to reasons such as an early release date and poor marketing, but this should not punish the fan base by removing the highly anticipated Kenobi movie from the roster. Obi-Wan has a wide open slate in which writers can let their full creativity flow. Unlike Solo, there are no expected plot points that this film would have to hit, save for perhaps his watchful eye on Luke.
