Disney Channel Stars: Reunite "Friends for Change" to Save the Oceans

The Issue

This petition is to encourage Disney Channel Stars as well as the Walt Disney Company to reinstate the 'Friends for Change' initiative and to remake such songs as "Send It On", "Make A Wave", "We Can Change the World" with the original Disney 'Friends for Change' representatives in order to raise money for contemporary environmental issues that are within the scope of the original mission of the 'Friends for Change' initiative. Such issues include the reduction of plastics in the world's oceans, deforestation, reducing carbon emissions, and the protection of endangered species.

We suggest that such iconic stars as the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, as well as others who sang in the original versions of these songs and participated in the original efforts of 'Friends for Change' reprise their roles both as singers and as role models for collective action. The issue of environmental action is more vital and more pressing than ever as time goes on and sea levels continue to rise. The voices of these celebrities have the power to make concrete, impactful change in the effort to reverse the choices we've made as a global community that have led to planet-wide climate change.

Thank you for your time and attention and we hope that you will join us in asking Disney's 'Friends for Change' to reunite in the name of planet Earth.
